THE Matabeleland Swimming Board (MSB) has selected a 42-member swimming team that will represent the province at the National Junior Swimming Championships to be held in Harare on the weekend of March 5-6.The national swimming gala will also feature provincial sides from Mashonaland, Manicaland, Midlands and the host province Harare.
MSB press and liaison officer Joseph Gliwitzki is convinced that they have assembled a strong side that will challenge for honours.
“This group is full of energy and there’s no doubt that we’ll do well. It’s going to be an interesting event as swimmers try to set new records,” said Gliwitzki.
“We’re hoping our team rises to the occasion and maintains the good form it has been in for the national championships.”
Cory Werret will captain the boys’ team while Hannah Evans leads the girls.
