Businessman and Rotarian, Mandlenkosi Moyo has set up a state-of-the art gym in Gwanda town.
The gym is manned by an award winning body builder who has a number of silverware in his cabin, Ntokozo Mahlangu.
The gym was set up last week after equipment was delivered from South Africa.
Before the establishment of the new gym, which was christened 626 Health Studio, Gwanda and the province as a whole had backyard gyms that attracted very few people.
Mahlangu is a qualified fitness trainer and as such people from the town and surrounding areas are expected to immensely benefit from the new facility.
Moyo, who operates night spots in the town and also a philanthropist in the field of sport, said he set up the gym after realising the gap which was in the town.
“After realising that there was no up to standard gym facilities in Gwanda I took it upon myself to set up one,” said Moyo.
Mahlangu said the gym will produce body builders who will carry his legacy and also improve on the residents’ health.
“I expect to produce body builders who will take the baton from me and excel more on the international arena. It’s good to have such state of the art facility here because I remember at one time I had to relocate to Bulawayo in search of good equipment because Gwanda had none,”
Mahlangu is also a board member of the National Body Building and Fitness Federation.
