PARKVIEW Lions shot to the top of the Bulawayo Metropolitan Province Darts by displacing Archers and Zimbabwe School of Mines, who were inactive on Wednesday night.

Lions, the league’s championship dark horses, beat How Mine 23-16 to take their points tally to eight from nine outings.

Archers and Zimbabwe School of Mines’ top of the table clash was cancelled at the 11th hour after the latter cited work commitments.

Former champions Railstars also moved up the table from fourth to second, recovering from last week’s 16-23 loss to Archers to clobber Bellevue 29-10.

Railstars captain Charles Widzisa said their eyes are focused on retaining the title and promised to revenge against Archers in the reverse fixture.

“What is important is not to lose points anymore. We had a bad day at the office against Archers, but the good thing is that we managed to pick ourselves and now we’re just interested in winning our games so that we don’t lose ground in as far as the championship race is concerned. We will beat Archers for ourselves in the second half of the season to return to top spot,” said Widzisa.

Highlanders remained stuck in fifth despite their 22-17 away win over Khami.
