PAY per view channel SuperSport subscribers are set for a bumper football viewership when the Euro 2016 and Cosafa Senior Men’s Cup roar into life tomorrow and Saturday respectively.
The Euro, being held in France, will be beamed on seven channels SS3, SS3A, SS3N, SS11A, SS11N, Max1 and Max3. Cosafa games in Namibia will be on SuperSport 9 and Maximo, with Zimbabwe and Swaziland getting the ball rolling at 3PM on Saturday, while France and Romania kick-off the Euro at 9PM tomorrow.
The giant sports broadcaster will beam 33 Cosafa games live and all 51 Euro matches.
“It’s the biggest soccer tournament of the year (Euro2016) and SuperSport will deliver it all with live coverage, previews, reviews, analysis, magazine shows, highlights and features from the heart of France,” said Multichoice Zimbabwe spokesperson Elizabeth Dziva in a statement.
“Apart from High-Definition match broadcasts, which will include one-hour build-ups with augmented reality, SuperSport will have three news crews in France to ensure that every angle is covered. Match commentary will (also) be available in Portuguese.”
There’ll be a lifestyle programme called la Carte on Saturdays and Sundays from 9-10AM fronted by an array of local pop culture figures, who will be giving their unique spin to the goals, action and results from the European soccer showpiece.
Master Plan will feature top coaches and former players deconstructing the action from an analytical point of view on Sundays from 1-2PM.
