THE Caps United duo of Dominic Chungwa and Dennis Dauda could be joining the great trek across the Limpopo after South African First Division side Black Leopards expressed an interest in them.
They sneaked out of the country a few weeks ago for trials with the Limpopo-based outfit and are expected to return to South Africa anytime soon for another assessment.
A source in the Leopards’ camp said the pair did fairly well during the first trial, but since there were a number of players being assessed, they wanted to have another look at them.
“The technical team wants another closer look at the players because they didn’t disappoint when they first came.
“It’s only that there were many players on trial and the coaches couldn’t make a decision.
“They are under consideration and chances are high that they will be turning out for Black Leopards when the season starts in August,” said the source.
Leopards are under the guidance of former National Under-20 coach Jairos Tapera and are believed to also be interested in How Mine’s Charles Sibanda and Butholezwe Ncube of Tsholotsho.
Tapera declined to reveal which players he is likely to sign for the coming season, saying the club would issue a statement.
