AS the countdown to the Zimbabwe National Youth Games continues, officials will today conduct a final inspection of the games’ venues and accommodation facilities to satisfy themselves of Chinhoyi’s preparedness to host the annual event. The games will be held from August 13-21.

He said the traditional Youth in Sport Conference for team captains, managers and coaches would also be held on August17. “The team managers and coaches will also have their own sport conference, which will cover topics such as planning and managing mega sporting events,” he said.

Nheweyembwa said most provinces were now finalising their team selections, although only three had paid part affiliation fees to the local organising committee (LOC).

Bulawayo, Mashonaland East and Mashonaland West have made partial payments, but the SRC remains confident all provinces will pay before the Games.
