WORLD Boxing Council welterweight silver champion Charles Manyuchi will defend his title in Singapore against 23-year-old Qudratillo Abduqaxorov from Uzbekistan on March 25 next year.
The announcement was made yesterday evening by his Zambian manager Chris Malunga who runs the Oriental Quarries Boxing Promotions.
“I’m here announcing that the World Boxing Council (WBC) welterweight silver champion Charles Manyuchi will defend his title on 25 March in Singapore against Qudratillo Abduqaxorov of Uzbekistan.
‘‘The date and the fight have been approved by WBC convention,” said Malunga from the convention venue in the United States of America.
Manyuchi was initially supposed to defend his title on home soil in October but ended up taking on Jose Agustin Julio Feria in a non-title fight after Frenchman Damien Martin pulled out of the title fight.
